The curriculum of Darpan Vidyadhaam
वट वृक्ष पाठ्यक्रम
The whole curriculum on one page: the roots it grows from, the six capacities in its trunk, its seven branches, the eight batches it climbs, and the rhythm that keeps it alive, twenty minutes a day.
“Hum kuch thopte nahi. Har padaav par ek kshamta jodte hain, taaki bachcha khud seekhe.”
We impose nothing. At every stage we add one capability, so that the child learns by themselves.
The tree
Read it from the top: every branch is a field of learning; the trunk is what every lesson must thicken; the roots are where it all comes from.
Shakhayen
Each branch keeps a link to the old vidyas, and each lives somewhere real in the app today.

Jataen
The banyan sends roots down from its branches; they reach the ground and become new trunks. So do learners who teach.
Jadein
Eight batches, one ladder
The batches are named for the sun, from Mitra to Marichi. Nothing is piled on: each stage adds one thing, and thickens two rings of the trunk.
This stage adds
Senses, wonder and safety: look, listen, touch, tell
This stage adds
Habits and words: a daily calm, asking 'kyun?'
This stage adds
Curiosity with method: observe, record, tell back
This stage adds
Reasons: 'my view, because…', true or rumour
This stage adds
Exploring and reasoning: experiments, both sides, first aid
This stage adds
Depth and identity: concepts, rights and duties, a steady mind
This stage adds
Direction: Meri Raah, strengths, teaching the young
This stage adds
Service: public service, research, enterprise, the village
Beyond school
After Marichi the method does not change; only the learners do.
Civil services aspirants
Understanding over information; the administrator's judgement
State PSC aspirants
The same method, rooted in the State — a State track is being built
College students
An IKS foundation in line with UGC's call for IKS credits — certificates of learning only
Farmers and rural youth
Evidence-labelled knowledge for the village economy
Teachers and parents
Run any lesson in 20 minutes; one message a week for home
Inside one lesson
In the Pathyakram a lesson moves in three beats, and its questions climb three steps.
Three beats in every lesson
The question ladder
The rhythm
A short habit every day; a different corner of the tree every weekday; a few things each month and each year.
Roz ki ghanti — 30 minutes, bade ke saath
Optional, any day: Mann ka Mausam, khidki.
Hafte ke saat kone — one corner a day

Disha
Every week touches all six capacities and all seven branches, so no talent stays hidden
Meri Khoobiyan notices how a child learns (never marks) and grows a tree of strengths
Meri Raah, walked again each year, turns strengths into fields to explore
In Classes 11–12, Hiranyagarbha shows the paths: public service, research, enterprise, farming, the arts, teaching
Whatever the path, the same roots: truth, service, a reasoned view and a calm mind
Six measures
Each is counted on the learner's own device and shown kindly: no ranks, no comparison with another child.
Never measured marks, ranks, or any comparison between children.
The horizon
This year
Every batch, every week: the full rhythm running free on one phone and a projector
Five years
Partner schools, more Indian languages, a teacher and volunteer network
One generation
A child who began in Mitra sits a public-service exam — or builds, farms, heals or teaches — with roots and reasons
Beyond
Like a banyan, the tree outlives those who planted it: the principles stay, each generation adds its own branches
What never changes
